Modern life can be overwhelming, complex, and often painful. Comics make the complex understandable, and the painful humorous.  Although my work spans many mediums, at my core I am a comic-artist and a storyteller. Much of my work is auto-biographical, and yet is highly relatable to others that are trying to make sense of our culture and society. I find the cartoon version of myself to be better at responding to the absurdity that life throws our way. Ultimately, my work serves as a visual diary in which I try to make sense of the world around me  - and by doing so I try to bring clarity and humor to others through the urgency and levity of the contemporary cartoon. With an emphasis on traditional mediums, small-press publishing, and a return to the handmade, I create relatable, refreshing work that puts feelings into words that were otherwise nameless, and makes us laugh when we otherwise can’t.
